en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Zinc-Bromine Flow Battery Intelligent Manufacturing Base Project has officially settled in the Leshan High-tech Zone. The project entity, Leshan Jun'an New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., has completed industrial and commercial registration, and preliminary work for factory renovation is progressing in an orderly manner. This marks the second flow battery technology route to land in the Leshan High-tech Zone in the field of new energy storage, following the all-vanadium flow battery.
The project adopts zinc-bromine flow battery technology, which falls under the cutting-edge direction of large-capacity, long-duration energy storage. This technology offers advantages such as intrinsic safety, ultra-long operational lifespan, and strong environmental adaptability, and can be applied in scenarios including grid peak shaving, new energy consumption, and commercial and industrial energy storage. The implementation of the project will further enrich the regional energy storage industry landscape and enhance industrial agglomeration effects.
In recent years, the Leshan High-tech Zone has focused on the energy storage track with sustained efforts, gathering a number of key projects such as all-vanadium flow batteries, lithium iron phosphate cathode materials, and energy storage anode materials, initially establishing an energy storage industry ecosystem of "equipment + materials + system integration." This zinc-bromine flow battery project will complement the existing all-vanadium flow battery technology, driving the region's energy storage industry from "single-point breakthroughs" toward "system integration."
In the next step, the Leshan High-tech Zone will continue to optimize the business environment, strengthen factor guarantees, and fully support the project in achieving early production and efficiency. Leveraging existing chain-leading enterprises and key projects, it will accelerate the formation of a clustered new energy storage industry.
