The main drivers of growth came from increased sales of own-brand vehicles, expanded market share of new energy vehicles (NEVs), and overseas business expansion. SAIC's own brands achieved growth for six consecutive months, with cumulative sales of 1.469 million units in the first half, up 12.6% year-on-year, accounting for nearly 72% of the group's total sales. Among them, the passenger vehicle business performed notably, growing 49.4% in the first half; IM Motors saw sales double, with a 107% increase; and Maxus maintained positive growth, rising 29.1%.

Electrification is one of the group's core growth engines. In the first half, SAIC sold 796,000 NEVs, up 23.1% year-on-year. In June alone, it delivered 201,000 pure electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, a 66.6% increase year-on-year. The MG4 series maintained monthly sales exceeding 10,000 units for nine consecutive months; the new SUV IM LS8 drove the expansion of the IM brand; and the Wuling Bingo Pro sold over 30,000 units within 38 days of launch.

Overseas markets also performed strongly. From January to June, SAIC sold 735,000 vehicles in international markets, up 48.7% year-on-year. Europe remained its largest export destination, with MG maintaining its leading position among Chinese auto brands in the local market for the 11th consecutive year, with European sales exceeding 190,000 units in the first half.

In the first half, SAIC launched over 20 new models and accelerated the introduction of technologies such as semi-solid-state batteries, artificial intelligence, steer-by-wire systems, and advanced driver assistance systems.
