en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 20, with the final cubic meter of concrete poured into the mold, the main concrete structure of the newly built Nanjing North Railway Station was successfully topped out, laying the foundation for subsequent station construction.
Located on the north side of Laoshan Scenic Area in the Jiangbei New District of Nanjing, Nanjing North Railway Station adopts a three-dimensional layout with four floors above ground and two floors underground. The station yard is designed with 16 platforms and 30 lines, comprising three depots: high-speed rail, intercity rail, and conventional rail.

Nanjing North Railway Station plans to introduce multiple lines, including the Shanghai-Nanjing-Hefei section of the Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu Yangtze River High-Speed Railway, the Nanjing-Huai'an Intercity Railway, the Nanjing-Bengbu Intercity Railway, the Beijing-Shanghai Railway, and the Nanjing-Qidong Railway. Through the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge and the Shangyuanmen River-Crossing Passage, it will connect with Nanjing Railway Station and Nanjing South Railway Station, making it the only comprehensive hub passenger station in Nanjing integrating high-speed rail, intercity rail, and conventional rail.
During the construction process, the project team adhered to the concepts of innovation-driven and green development, innovating construction techniques and continuously advancing intelligent and green construction. The deep foundation pit area was equipped with a "BeiDou+5G" automated monitoring system to facilitate safe and efficient construction progress.

After the completion of the concrete main structure topping out, the construction team will fully advance the assembly of the roof steel structure, while simultaneously initiating secondary structure masonry and decoration preparation work.

Once completed and operational, Nanjing North Railway Station will become a key hub station on the Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu Yangtze River High-Speed Railway, further improving the railway hub layout of Nanjing. It holds significant importance for building a "rail-based Yangtze River Delta," serving the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, enhancing the radiation capacity of Nanjing as a central city in its metropolitan area, and supporting the construction of the national-level Jiangbei New District.
