Xia Xin, Secretary of the Echeng District Party Committee; Li Xingdong, President of the Hubei Jiangsu Chamber of Commerce; and Hua Bo, Director of the Ezhou Investment Promotion Center, attended the ceremony. Also present were Wang Biao, Standing Committee Member and Director of the United Front Work Department of the District Party Committee; Liu Biao, Deputy District Mayor; Ji Yingchun, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General of the Chamber of Commerce; and Chen Shuhua, Executive Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of Hubei Yunjing Biotechnology Co., Ltd.
Xia Xin stated that the Hubei Jiangsu Chamber of Commerce has introduced real industries aligned with the green and low-carbon track to Echeng District, playing a role in improving the new energy circular economy industrial chain. He urged all functional departments to work backward from the deadline to ensure the project starts construction and begins production as early as possible. Leveraging Ezhou's air-rail intermodal transportation hub advantages, the project will process kitchen waste and agricultural and forestry waste to achieve triple benefits of pollution control, resource regeneration, and energy production.
Li Xingdong pointed out that the Chamber of Commerce will continue to build a platform for industrial collaboration between Jiangsu and Hubei, provide full follow-up support for the Yunjing Biology Ezhou project, and explore high-quality new energy enterprise resources in Jiangsu. Chen Shuhua introduced that Yunjing Biology plans to cover regional industrial layouts in South China, North China, Northeast China, East China, and Central China. The project settled in Echeng will be constructed in two phases. The first phase has a planned capacity of 100,000 tons, with an annual output value of nearly 800 million yuan and annual tax revenue of up to 40 million yuan upon full operation. The second phase will expand capacity to 200,000 tons. Once fully completed, Yunjing Biology will become one of China's largest biomass processing enterprises by production scale. The project also includes plans to build a biomass energy research and development center.
Enterprise representatives stated that the biomass energy industry requires high R&D investment and a long industrial chain cultivation cycle, necessitating support from local governments in terms of land, policies, and markets. The Chamber of Commerce also indicated that it will continue to promote the landing of more high-quality industrial projects from Jiangsu in Hubei and provide follow-up services for member enterprises that have settled in the region.
During their stay in Ezhou, Li Xingdong and his team also visited Hubei Yunjing Biotechnology Co., Ltd., holding discussions with the company's core management and technical R&D team to understand the company's technology processes, production systems, national layout, and project plans. Relevant heads from the Echeng District Emergency Management Bureau, Ecology and Environment Bureau, Development and Reform, Economy and Information Technology Bureau, and Urban Management Bureau, as well as representatives from Yunjing Biology, attended the signing ceremony.
