Cheng Xuefeng, Deputy Secretary of the Gangcheng District Committee and District Mayor; Cai Xuefeng, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of the Domestic Division of CITIC Construction Co., Ltd.; and Yue Sishui, Deputy General Manager of China Energy Storage (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd., attended the signing ceremony.
In his speech, Cheng Xuefeng stated that Gangcheng District has been focusing on intelligent, green, and integrated development, cultivating a "3+2" leading industry structure. The new energy equipment industry, as one of the three leading industries, aligns well with this project. The project's implementation will help inject momentum into the development of the new energy industry and optimize the energy structure in Gangcheng District. He expressed hope that CITIC Construction and China Energy Storage will leverage their respective advantages in resources, technology, and platforms to advance the project with high standards. He also pledged full support from Gangcheng District to ensure the project starts early, operates early, and delivers results early.
Cai Xuefeng noted that Gangcheng District boasts a superior geographical location, a solid industrial foundation, and a convenient and efficient business environment, making it suitable for the project. CITIC Construction will leverage its comprehensive strengths, collaborate closely with technical partners such as China Energy Storage, deploy the strongest team, and adhere to strict standards to ensure the project is built successfully, achieving win-win development.
Yue Sishui stated that Gangcheng District has the industrial foundation, electricity market conditions, and implementation environment for developing long-duration, large-scale energy storage, making it an ideal area for advancing the industrial demonstration of advanced compressed air energy storage. As a service provider dedicated to building a leading full-industry chain for compressed air energy storage systems in China, China Energy Storage will actively coordinate with all parties to accelerate the project's construction.
It is understood that the project will be jointly invested and constructed by CITIC Construction and China Energy Storage. The main scope includes building a large-scale underground compressed air energy storage plant, along with the configuration of air storage devices, compressors, electric motors, expanders, and other equipment.
