The project will expand the Billerica Innovation Center, reflecting E Ink's long-term commitment to cutting-edge innovation and the Massachusetts technology ecosystem.

It will enhance E Ink's ability to advance technological innovation in the U.S., support global customers, and contribute to the continued growth of the local economy and innovation community.

The expanded facility will provide new workspace to foster collaboration and accelerate the development of electronic paper applications. Construction is expected to be completed by March 2027, with support from NV5 Planning & Design, Inc., IF Design L.L.C., and SPEC Process Engineering & Construction, Inc.

E Ink has deep roots in Massachusetts, having spun off from the MIT Media Lab in 1997 and established its U.S. headquarters in Billerica. The Billerica campus, home to over 260 employees, serves as a key global research and development center. Katherine Malgieri, Director of Planning and Community Development for the Town of Billerica, noted that the project is expected to create new job opportunities during development and after completion, further boosting the region's innovation economy.

E Ink Holdings Inc. (stock code: 8069.TWO), based on technology from the MIT Media Lab, provides display media for applications such as e-readers, e-notebooks, retail, home, hospital, transportation, and logistics.
