en.Wedoany.com Reported - Pavel Voronin, General Director of Russia's MTS Web Services (part of the AFK Sistema group, held through MTS), told TASS that Russia and China could establish a long-term partnership in the field of artificial intelligence by expanding the artificial intelligence data center network in Siberia and the Far East.
Voronin believes that the foundation of the partnership should be the expansion of cross-border backbone communication channel capacity, along with the development of energy infrastructure. Russia can not only strive to become a participant in this alliance but also has the opportunity to occupy a leading position within it. Russia possesses a strong scientific and engineering foundation, a mature market for applied AI solutions, and large technology companies capable of participating in international projects.
The press service of AFK Sistema added that, in terms of specific division of labor, the Russian side can be responsible for part of the training datasets, including Russian-language data, cultural context, and materials from the fields of industry, energy, finance, science, education, and public administration. The Chinese side can provide model architecture, computing resources, equipment, and training technologies.
