en.Wedoany.com Reported - John Deere is expanding its C-Series air seeder cart lineup with the launch of the largest-capacity model to date, the C1450T, designed to help farmers plant more acres between refills.
Benjamin Zelle, John Deere Seeding Product Marketing Manager, stated that planting windows are getting tighter, and farmers want to cover more ground without increasing operational complexity. The C1450T helps farmers scale their operations by increasing capacity, maintaining productivity and making the most of every hour in the field.
To support the increased capacity, the C1450T introduces several new features to maximize uptime and simplify operation. The EZLift system allows farmers to lift bulk bags and directly fill tanks one, two, and three. This lift can reach bags on the ground, trailer, truck box, or storage platform, while the bulk bag side storage platform provides additional bag storage space.
The new 16-inch hydraulic conveyor enables more efficient seed handling, with greater length and width than previous models for faster material transfer and increased clearance around the rear wheels. Stainless steel hoppers reduce maintenance needs, and the redesigned front platform features a walk-over stair for easy access through the hitch.
Tank one on the C1450T is equipped with a 105-bushel Flex Tank, offering greater versatility beyond canola or inoculant use. Farmers can fill it with additional fertilizer or seed to increase acres per fill and extend field time. The addition of a fifth tank further enhances versatility, allowing farmers to mix and match tanks to maximize acres per fill, increasing the maximum number of products the cart can hold to five.
Multi-tank planters equipped with a G5 or G5 Plus CommandCenter display and a G5 Advanced license can use the new John Deere Operations Center Logistics feature. This tool estimates the time and area remaining before a tank runs empty, and is applicable for both fixed-rate and variable-rate prescription applications.
The C1450T includes all features of other C-Series carts, such as the AccuRate meter, EZCal calibration system, precision agriculture technology, and integration with the John Deere Operations Center. According to John Deere, the corrosion-resistant stainless steel AccuRate meter withstands abrasive granular fertilizer and seed treatments. Independently controlled electric meters can be adjusted individually for higher-resolution prescriptions, and combined with Curve Compensation and SectionCommand Pro, provide farmers with up to eight times the seeding accuracy. C-Series carts also feature the industry-exclusive John Deere EZCal system, a push-button calibration method that is faster than traditional manual bag calibration, eliminating the need to crawl under the cart and reducing back-and-forth steps required to complete calibration.
Zelle stated that the C1450T combines greater capacity with the precision technology farmers rely on daily. Features like the ActiveCal system give operators real-time insight into material levels and application performance, helping them make in-field adjustments and maintain accuracy without slowing down.
