en.Wedoany.com Reported - The cold chain transportation system, consisting of a railway power generation container and a 40-foot railway refrigerated container provided by CRRC, is now serving cross-border fruit trains departing from Dong Dang Station, Vietnam. These trains, loaded with tropical fruits, arrive at Nanning International Railway Port, from which the goods are distributed to cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, reaching consumers' tables as quickly as the next day.
This cold chain equipment adopts an "8+1" refrigerated car group model, meaning eight refrigerated containers are equipped with one railway power generation container, replacing the previous "4+1" model (where one generator set powered four refrigerated containers). According to logistics company calculations, this can save several hundred yuan in logistics costs per container.

The core equipment was developed by CRRC Yangtze Group. The railway power generation container adopts a "1+8" power supply mode, capable of continuously powering up to eight fully loaded refrigerated containers simultaneously. The container is equipped with various detection and control sensors that monitor the diesel generator set's operating status, vibration, fire protection, video, and other systems in real time, uploading data to the operation and maintenance platform center via onboard monitoring devices. The entire car group system features high integration and intelligence, enabling unattended operation and solving the challenge of continuous power supply for refrigeration units during long-distance transportation of tropical fruits.

The refrigeration unit installed on the 40-foot railway refrigerated container utilizes advanced technologies such as inverter scroll compressors and vapor injection to enhance cooling capacity and energy efficiency. A high-volume, efficient downward air supply mode ensures long-distance freshness preservation for tropical fruits like durians and mangosteens. The unit integrates functions including cooling, heating, defrosting, and fresh air intake, operating stably in ambient temperatures ranging from -40°C to 50°C, covering railway, road, waterway, and multimodal transport scenarios. This refrigeration unit is China's first fully domestically produced railway refrigerated container refrigeration unit, ensuring independent control of information security and shortening the procurement cycle for spare parts.

The regular operation of cross-border fruit trains, supported by efficient and stable railway cold chain transportation, reduces cross-border logistics losses and transportation costs, allowing consumers to enjoy tropical fruits at affordable prices.
