The project has a budget of €48,384,874.82 and a construction period of 27 months, making it the main port infrastructure investment currently being undertaken by the Port Authority.

The creation of the new area responds to the changes in cargo traffic experienced at the Port of Málaga in recent years, with the aim of consolidating growth trends and expanding existing operational space.
