The ET5 and ET5T now feature two new exterior colors, Faraway Purple and Moonlight Silver, increasing the total to nine. Exterior updates include a refined vertical-cut front fascia, redesigned Double-Dash LED daytime running lights with standard ADB smart multi-beam headlights, and a sealed grille with a larger trapezoidal air intake. At the rear, both models sport a full-width taillight design, with the ET5 featuring a ducktail spoiler and the ET5T equipped with a prominent roof-mounted spoiler. Glossy black accents enhance the sporty aesthetic, complemented by a new 20-inch five-spoke wheel option.
Inside, the vehicles boast a 15.6-inch 3K AMOLED touchscreen, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, and an 18.8-inch wide-angle HUD as standard. Additional features include a rear-view streaming mirror, column shifter, and Apple CarKey support. The advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) incorporates 29 high-precision sensors, including a 300-line equivalent LiDAR and 4D imaging radar, powered by NIO’s Shenji NX9031 chip. The new NIO World Model (NWM) enhances assisted driving by providing panoramic environmental awareness and predictive scene generation.
Wang Wei, a senior NIO executive, stated: “The refreshed ET5 and ET5T models combine cutting-edge technology with refined design, delivering an unparalleled driving experience.” The interior offers three new color schemes—Light Vine Purple, Alpine Grey, and Pearl Shell—along with optimized storage, a panoramic glass roof, a 23-speaker 7.1.4 surround sound system, and advanced seating with 14-way power adjustments, heating, ventilation, and massage functions.
The chassis features a continuous damping control system, hydraulic rear subframe bushings, and upgrades to over 15 suspension components, improving ride comfort. The vehicles retain NIO’s EP Mode+ and introduce specialized modes like Launch, Drift, and Mountain. The ET5T, designed as a practical tourer, supports a towing capacity of 1,400 kilograms. Battery options include 75kWh and 100kWh packs, with short-term 150kWh ultra-long-range pack rentals available.
