en.Wedoany.com Reported - Rosatom has completed and commissioned the second phase of the Novolakskaya Wind Farm in the Republic of Dagestan, which has begun supplying electricity to the unified power grid. This makes the wind farm the tenth operational wind farm under Rosatom, bringing its total installed capacity to 300 MW.

The second phase consists of 59 wind turbines, adding 147.5 MW of installed capacity. The entire wind farm now has 120 turbines, each with a unit capacity of 2.5 MW, and is expected to generate an average of 879 million kWh annually. The turbine hubs, nacelles, generators, and cooling systems are manufactured by the Atommash plant in Volgodonsk, while the blades are supplied by Rosatom's composites division.
To date, Rosatom's operational wind power capacity across 10 wind farms in Russia exceeds 1.3 GW. The company plans to expand its operational capacity to approximately 2 GW by 2028, with about 85% of its wind power equipment manufactured domestically in Russia. Rosatom's Wind Power Division manages the full lifecycle of wind farms, from design and construction to operation and maintenance.
