CEO Jordan Pandoff stated that the drilling program is designed to reduce technical risk and advance the Nowa Sól project through the PFS and EIA, with every drill hole deepening the understanding of the deposit and providing engineering and environmental information to optimize future mine development. In addition to risk reduction, the company is advancing resource growth at Sulmierzyce and Mozów, with further drilling updates and assay results expected later this year.
The Nowa Sól project plans approximately 8,200 meters of drilling across four holes, with two drill rigs currently operating simultaneously. Drilling began in May, and the first hole has reached and completed its target depth of 1,900 meters. Assay results have not yet been released, but preliminary X-ray fluorescence (XRF) results are consistent with surrounding mineralization.
The drilling contractor is a Polish local company familiar with Kupferschiefer-type deposits. Lumina has been conducting exploration activities in Poland since 2011 and maintains long-term partnerships with local contractors and technical service providers, a strategy the company says helps maximize local economic benefits.
The Sulmierzyce project, located approximately 125 kilometers east of Nowa Sól, is the company's second greenfield discovery. The company has completed five drill holes within its 169-square-kilometer exploration license area and has verified the results of seven historical drill holes. In April 2026, Lumina published its first NI 43-101-compliant inferred mineral resource: 308 million tonnes of ore at 2.09% copper and 31.85 g/t silver, containing 6.4 million tonnes of copper and 315 million ounces of silver. The 2026 drilling program plans to add one additional drill hole and analyze multiple holes left from earlier oil and gas exploration in the region to further expand the published resource.
The Mozów project area covers 93 square kilometers, located 35 kilometers northwest of Nowa Sól, within the same mineralized corridor. Six historical drill holes have been completed in the area, two of which were drilled by Lumina, with all holes intersecting mineralization, with copper grades ranging from 1.10% to 3.86% and silver grades ranging from 8 to 52 g/t. The company plans to complete one additional drill hole within the next year to expand resource potential.
Adrian Karolko is a registered professional geologist with more than 18 years of international mineral exploration experience involving base metals, gold, uranium, and other metals across Europe, Africa, North America, and South America. He most recently served as Vice President of Exploration at Midnight Sun Mining in Zambia, previously held the role of Poland Exploration Manager at Lumina, and served as Exploration Manager at Lumina Gold's Cangrejos project in Ecuador. He is also a registered professional geologist with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA). He succeeds Leo Hathaway, who has led exploration efforts since 2011.
