Amici primarily undertakes underground water supply, drainage, and utility projects, with business covering complex pipeline construction, horizontal directional drilling, and the installation, repair, and rehabilitation of drinking water, sewage, and stormwater pipe networks. The transaction amount and equity arrangements were not disclosed.
Founded in 2019, Amici operates across the U.S. state of Florida. Following the acquisition, its underground pipeline construction and self-perform engineering capabilities will be integrated into PURIS's existing business system, complementing PURIS's technologies such as trenchless pipe rehabilitation, pipe bursting, geopolymer spray lining, high-density polyethylene pipe lining, and lead service line replacement.
PURIS is a portfolio company of private equity firm J.F. Lehman & Company, primarily providing underground pipe network rehabilitation services to North American municipal drinking water, sewage, and stormwater markets. A&O Shearman served as legal counsel to PURIS and J.F. Lehman on this transaction, while Akerman LLP acted as legal advisor to Amici.
