SeaDry uses a blended material of calcium chloride and starch, capable of absorbing at least 250% of its own weight in moisture for over 60 days under actual usage conditions, with maximum absorption reaching up to 300% of its own weight under extreme conditions. The starch binds absorbed moisture into a gel, while the outer layer of high-density polyethylene nonwoven fabric allows water vapor to enter, and the multilayer film on the back prevents liquid leakage.

The SeaDry Single pouch for offshore instruments weighs 125 grams, is suitable for installation in sealed instrument boxes, containers, and technical cavities, and can be equipped with adhesive backing for mounting in floating or mobile devices. The product is typically inspected approximately six weeks after installation and replaced once it reaches saturation, with the actual cycle adjusted based on temperature, humidity, and enclosure sealing conditions.

This product can also be used in measuring buoys, floating observation platforms, and navigation aid systems. During installation, the enclosure must remain sealed, and the desiccant should be secured in positions that do not come into contact with exposed circuit boards or unprotected electronic components. The raw materials used in SeaDry comply with EU REACH requirements and are free of dimethyl fumarate.
