en.Wedoany.com Reported - Arvato Türkiye has deployed Libiao Robotics' modular 3D Sorter at its Platform S distribution center in Istanbul to support e-commerce fulfillment operations for a leading global fashion retailer. This marks the company's first major investment in warehouse automation, with the system configured with 66 sorting robots and 14 shuttle induction stations, capable of processing up to 3,700 items per hour and sorting them to 672 destinations.

Online fashion retail continues to grow, and fulfillment operations are under pressure from a wide product range, rapidly changing order profiles, high return rates, and seasonal peaks. Arvato, a logistics provider serving global retail brands, needed to increase throughput while maintaining operational flexibility. To this end, Arvato Türkiye chose Libiao Robotics' modular 3D Sorter over a traditional conveyor-based sorting system; the solution was designed, supplied, and commissioned by Libiao Robotics in collaboration with local system integrator Lodamaster.

The 3D Sorter operates with autonomous robots running on a modular sorting grid, independently delivering items to designated destinations, eliminating the complexity of conveyor networks. The system was configured to match Arvato Türkiye's warehouse processes and physical layout, complementing existing workflows without requiring redesign, and can handle a wide range of products from lightweight apparel to bulkier garments.

Automation has delivered benefits including larger picking batches, reduced operator walking distances, lower manual handling volumes, and improved warehouse flow, accelerating order fulfillment. The project went from concept to full go-live in approximately six months, reaching target throughput within three weeks after integration testing.

Ronan Shen, Global Vice President of Sales at Libiao Robotics, stated that logistics providers face multiple pressures simultaneously, including order volume growth, rising customer demands for delivery speed and accuracy, increasing labor costs, recruitment difficulties, and narrowing profit margins. Investing in automation must not only deliver immediate productivity gains but also retain flexibility for future expansion. The solution chosen by Arvato Türkiye can be adjusted as business volumes grow and seasonal peaks fluctuate, without requiring repeated investment in fixed infrastructure.

Fashion fulfillment's high SKU counts, frequent returns, and changing order profiles require a sorting system that balances sustained high performance with rapid reconfiguration capability.

Libiao's 3D Sorter features a modular architecture that supports incremental automation expansion without replacing existing facilities, keeping investment aligned with evolving business needs. To date, its robotic sorting solutions have been deployed across e-commerce, retail, parcel logistics, pharmaceutical, and manufacturing facilities worldwide.

By replacing traditional conveyor infrastructure with modular automation, Arvato Türkiye has laid the foundation for continued growth in its e-commerce fulfillment operations and future automation upgrades.
