en.Wedoany.com Reported - Recently, Sinoma Construction and Yanzhou Sinoma signed a contract for the Nigerian mine operation and maintenance project in Beijing. The two parties will cooperate on the organization and implementation of project operations, with Sinoma Construction providing local Nigerian business and market channel resources, and Yanzhou Sinoma providing mine production operation and maintenance capabilities.

The two parties had previously cooperated on projects in the field of mine production operations in Nigeria. In July 2023, the OSOSO Line 3 mining area of the Nigerian EDO project, in which Yanzhou Sinoma participated, commenced production operations. This mining area serves the OBU cement plant of the BUA Group, and at that time, the Sinoma Construction EDO production operation project team and the Yanzhou Sinoma EDO project team jointly participated in on-site production organization. Public information shows that prior to the commencement of the OSOSO Line 3 mining area, Yanzhou Sinoma had already undertaken the production guarantee and operation work for the local Line 1 and Line 2 mines.

In recent years, Sinoma Construction has continuously undertaken mine and cement production operation and maintenance businesses in Nigeria. In August 2023, the company signed operation and maintenance contracts for EDO Line 3 and SOKOTO Line 4 with the BUA Group, covering the operation and maintenance business of all six cement production lines of the BUA Group at that time. In June 2026, Sinoma Construction also signed a Nigerian Sokoto mine operation and maintenance contract with Sinoma Xi'an Mining, marking the second cooperation between the two parties following the Kogi mine project in 2023.

Yanzhou Sinoma specializes in mine construction, mining services, and mine ecological restoration and management. It holds relevant qualifications including general contracting for mine engineering construction and blasting operations, and has already carried out mine production operation businesses in Africa. Its Nigerian EDO project had previously accumulated experience in mining area production organization, equipment operation, and production guarantee operations.

According to the 2026 semi-annual report of Sinoma International, the company's overseas mine operation and maintenance business revenue in the first half of this year was RMB 122 million, a year-on-year increase of more than 1.3 times; newly signed overseas mine operation and maintenance contracts amounted to RMB 1.096 billion, a year-on-year increase of more than 2.1 times. As of the end of June, the company had a total of 319 mine operation and maintenance projects in progress, of which 24 were overseas projects, an increase of 6 compared to the end of 2025. During the same period, the company focused on expanding mining service businesses for mineral types such as molybdenum ore, gold-copper ore, ilmenite, lithium ore, and bauxite.
