en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 9, Mammoet Japan and Japanese crane equipment company Tokyo Juki Co., Ltd. signed a memorandum of understanding in Tokyo, establishing a local cooperation framework for the deployment and operation of Mammoet's large ring cranes in Japan. The scope of cooperation covers specialized ring crane equipment with lifting capacities ranging from approximately 1,600 tons to 6,000 tons, focusing on resolving issues related to regulatory compliance, statutory certification, on-site deployment, and operator staffing after large overseas lifting equipment enters Japan. The project is currently at the cooperation framework stage, and no equipment procurement contract has been formed for a specific project.

Under the division of responsibilities agreed by both parties, Mammoet Japan will provide specialized ring crane equipment and ultra-heavy lifting technology, while Tokyo Juki will provide Japan's local construction experience, professional personnel, and on-site resources, as well as support the deployment and operation of the equipment after it enters Japan. The two parties plan to incorporate this capability into the planning stage of large engineering projects in advance, rather than determining the equipment solution only after the project enters the formal lifting phase.

The planned equipment deployment targets projects such as offshore wind power, nuclear power construction and maintenance, large-scale infrastructure, industrial facilities, and offshore production units. Mammoet's existing ring crane series covers the 1,600-ton to 6,000-ton class and can be used for integral lifting of large modules and heavy components. This signing is an MoU and does not mean that the equipment has arrived in Japan or that orders for specific projects have been secured. The next phase requires finalizing specific projects, equipment mobilization, and Japan's regulatory certification arrangements.
