en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 10, Brazilian renewable energy developer Casa dos Ventos signed a formal wind turbine supply contract with Goldwind for the Sento Sé wind power project. Located in northern Bahia state, the project has a total installed capacity of 872MW and will be equipped with 109 GWH182-8.0MW onshore wind turbines, each with a rated capacity of 8MW. The contract scope extends beyond equipment supply; Goldwind will also be responsible for turbine transportation, installation, and commissioning, and will provide 30 years of operation and maintenance services after the project is commissioned.

This round of equipment procurement for the Sento Sé project has formed a complete contract chain covering "turbine supply—transportation—on-site installation—commissioning—long-term operation and maintenance." The 109 turbines correspond to the full 872MW of main turbine capacity; this is not a small supplementary order, nor is it a framework agreement. Goldwind is adopting the GWH182 platform, with a per-unit capacity of 8MW; according to the contract arrangement, the wind turbine equipment will constitute the project's core power generation units, and subsequent construction will require the simultaneous advancement of supporting works including turbine foundations, on-site collector lines, and step-up and transmission facilities.

After the project is commissioned, it is expected to generate approximately 4.5 million MWh annually. Based on currently available public information, Casa dos Ventos is responsible for project development, while Goldwind undertakes turbine supply and related installation and commissioning work; this contract also locks in Goldwind's turbine operation and maintenance responsibility for the project's subsequent 30 years, extending Goldwind's scope of work from the construction phase to the operational phase.
