India's ACME Solar 66.68 MW PV Project Commissioned; 300 MW Project Enters Phased Commercial Operation

This phase was commissioned on September 12, and the company's filing with the Indian stock exchange explicitly designated September 14 as the Commercial Operation Date (COD). The project is located in Kelan village, Chhatargarh area, Bikaner district. Following the commissioning of the first phase, the remaining approximately 233.32 MW of capacity is still awaiting subsequent phased commissioning.

This milestone represents the first batch of commercial capacity of the 300 MW project, rather than the entire project being commissioned at once. ACME Renewtech completed the commissioning of the first 66.68 MW on September 12 and subsequently determined the commercial operation date in accordance with regulatory filings, meaning that this portion of capacity has transitioned from the construction and commissioning stage into formal operation. Based on the total scale of 300 MW, the first phase currently accounts for approximately 22% of the project's total capacity, and the focus will subsequently shift to the construction, commissioning, and phased commercial operation of the remaining capacity.

This type of phased grid-connection model allows completed power generation units to enter operation ahead of schedule while continuing to advance the remaining site works.

In addition to the commissioning of this PV project, ACME Solar has recently also been advancing its overseas supply chain layout. The company's board of directors has approved the establishment of a wholly owned subsidiary, ACME Renewables FZCO, in the UAE, with business scope including international procurement, renewable energy supply chain management, project support, and price risk management for raw materials such as lithium salts and polysilicon. This move is part of the company's supply chain and overseas business system development and is an independent milestone from the commissioning of this Rajasthan PV project.

ACME Solar is currently expanding its renewable energy project pipeline and construction scale. In August, another subsidiary of the company, ACME Renewtech Sixth, had just obtained a long-term loan of INR 15.71 billion from the India Infrastructure Finance Company for the construction of a 300 MW firm-supply renewable energy project in Rajasthan, which will be equipped with a 1,350 MWh battery energy storage system, with a loan term of 19 years. The company is simultaneously continuing to advance the construction of PV, energy storage, and dispatchable renewable energy assets, further expanding its project portfolio from traditional centralized PV toward PV, energy storage, and hybrid energy systems.

Following the commissioning of this 66.68 MW, the subsequent project milestones for the Kelan project will focus on the construction, commissioning, and commercial operation of the remaining 233.32 MW of capacity. ACME Solar's disclosure this time did not provide a specific phased commissioning timetable for the remaining capacity, nor did it publish the separate investment amount or EPC contract amount for the 300 MW project.
