16-metre mineralized interval grading 1.26 g/t gold intersected at Homase Gold Mine in Ghana
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 26, UK mining company GoldStone Resources announced the latest drilling results from the Homase Gold Mine in Ghana, having completed the northern mining area and the first five reverse circulation (RC) drill holes in the southern area. Among them, hole 26MLRC007 intersected a 16-metre mineralized interval averaging 1.26 g/t gold from a depth of 11 metres; hole 26MLRC017 encountered an 8-metre mineralized interval grading 2.17 g/t gold. The company has also appointed SEMS Exploration Services to conduct the next-phase mineral resource evaluation, with a planned total drilling meterage of approximately 7,770 metres.

Northern drilling focused on the planned open pits No. 5 and No. 6, extending approximately 850 metres north of the existing No. 4 pit along the Homase gold mineralized structural trend. Hole 26MLRC006 intersected a 5-metre mineralized interval grading 2.76 g/t gold from a depth of 19 metres; the 8-metre mineralized interval in hole 26MLRC017 includes a higher-grade section of 2 metres grading 4.04 g/t gold. Drilling also identified parallel mineralized structures on the eastern and western sides of the main mineralized zone, with localized mineralization widths of up to 200 metres. The company is using the drill hole data to study the feasibility of developing pits No. 5 and No. 6 as a combined operation.
Of the first five drill holes in the southern mining area, three intersected gold mineralized intervals. Hole 26MLRC021 encountered a 13-metre mineralized interval grading 0.61 g/t gold from a depth of 22 metres, and hole 26MLRC023 encountered a 7-metre mineralized interval grading 1.02 g/t gold from a depth of 50 metres. These holes are located within the existing No. 1 and No. 2 pits and their extensions; the results will be used to assess the potential for supplying oxide ore to the existing heap leach facility and to refine subsequent pit mining plans.
GoldStone has re-engaged SEMS, a Ghana-based geological exploration services company, to conduct a new JORC-compliant mineral resource evaluation. The drilling program comprises 32 RC and diamond drill holes totaling approximately 7,770 metres, including 5,300 metres of RC drilling and 2,470 metres of diamond drilling. The first priority batch covers 23 drill holes totaling approximately 5,200 metres, focusing on gold mineralized zones beneath the existing pits and along the strike extension of the mineralized trend, with a resource update planned for completion in the first half of 2027.
