Wedoany.com Report-Nov. 10, From November 6 to 7, Zhu Huarong, Chairman of China Changan Automobile Group, led a delegation to Haier Group’s headquarters in Qingdao for high-level talks aimed at strengthening the strategic partnership between the two companies and exploring new collaboration opportunities.
The visit follows a strategic cooperation agreement signed in July in Chongqing, under which Changan and Haier committed to leveraging their respective industrial strengths to accelerate initiatives across key areas, including new energy, supply chain development, health and wellness technologies, and global brand building. Both companies outlined plans to co-develop a "vehicle-home ecosystem," integrating smart home and in-car scenarios, jointly developing automotive appliances, and constructing a full-chain cold storage logistics system. The partnership also covers deeper collaboration along the automotive value chain, including co-development of new vehicle models, personalized modification services, and media integration. Enhancing overseas service networks to support global expansion of Chinese brands is also a priority.
During the Qingdao visit, AVATR Technology—Changan's premium intelligent NEV brand—announced a partnership with Haier’s automotive service subsidiary, CARtech. The collaboration will focus on AVATR's upcoming million-yuan-level flagship model, emphasizing co-creation in product customization, seamless integration of vehicle and home ecosystems, and joint development of in-car functions to deliver a more premium, technology-driven mobility experience.
Future areas of cooperation were also discussed. Zhou Yunjie, Chairman and CEO of Haier Group, proposed integrating Casarte-branded home appliances—including air conditioners, refrigerators, and oxygen concentrators—into AVATR vehicles to further enhance interconnectivity between home and car environments.
Both companies confirmed that AVATR and CARtech will conduct joint R&D guided by user needs to create customized automotive and home-interconnected solutions. The collaboration with Casarte and CARtech is expected to advance cross-brand innovation and accelerate commercialization of co-developed products, reinforcing the strategic goal of building a fully integrated vehicle-home ecosystem.
The partnership exemplifies the integration of automotive and smart home technologies, combining Changan’s capabilities in intelligent vehicles with Haier’s expertise in connected home appliances. It also reflects both companies’ commitment to enhancing product value, improving user experience, and promoting global expansion of Chinese technology and automotive brands.
Through this collaboration, Changan and Haier aim to strengthen synergies between mobility and home environments, drive innovation in smart and connected solutions, and deliver advanced, technology-driven offerings to consumers in both domestic and international markets.
