Vietnam’s Strong Run Continued in November

Wedoany.com Report-Dec.28, Vietnam's cement dispatches rose eight per cent year-on-year to 6.930 million tonnes in November 2025, according to data from the Vietnam National Cement Association (VNCA).

VICEM delivered 1.933 million tonnes, marking a five per cent increase compared to November 2024. Other VNCA members recorded 1.177 million tonnes, up ten per cent year-on-year. Non-members contributed 3.820 million tonnes, showing a nine per cent year-on-year growth.

Export volumes surged 71 per cent to 3.744 million tonnes. Clinker exports jumped 205 per cent to 1.712 million tonnes, while cement exports increased 25 per cent to 2.032 million tonnes.

VICEM members saw clinker exports rise strongly to 122,487 tonnes but reported a 23 per cent decline in cement exports to 193,519 tonnes. Other VNCA members had no clinker exports in November, with cement exports at 294,485 tonnes, up four per cent year-on-year. Non-members achieved a 183 per cent increase in clinker exports to 1.589 million tonnes and a 41 per cent rise in cement exports to 1.544 million tonnes.

For the January-to-November 2025 period, total cement dispatches climbed 14 per cent year-on-year to 68.614 million tonnes. VICEM's domestic sales increased 14.1 per cent to 18.622 million tonnes. Other VNCA members recorded a 12 per cent rise to 11.967 million tonnes, while non-members saw domestic dispatches grow 14.1 per cent to 38.025 million tonnes.

Cumulative exports over the 11 months rose 22 per cent to 33.654 million tonnes. Clinker exports increased 54 per cent to 13.771 million tonnes, and cement exports grew seven per cent to 19.883 million tonnes.

VICEM's clinker exports fell 13 per cent to 702,962 tonnes, and cement exports declined 39 per cent to 1.663 million tonnes. Other VNCA members reported clinker exports of 285,168 tonnes, down six per cent, and cement exports of 2.722 million tonnes, also down six per cent. Non-members experienced a 64 per cent increase in clinker exports to 12.783 million tonnes and a 20 per cent rise in cement exports to 15.498 million tonnes.

The United States and the Philippines emerged as the leading cement export destinations in the 11-month period, each receiving around 4.5 million tonnes. Singapore followed with approximately 1.9 million tonnes, while South Africa, Honduras, and Malaysia each accounted for roughly 0.9 million tonnes.

For clinker, Bangladesh was the primary destination with about 5.8 million tonnes. Côte d'Ivoire received around 2.8 million tonnes, followed by the Philippines at 1.1 million tonnes, Taiwan at 0.8 million tonnes, and Malaysia at 0.7 million tonnes.

These figures reflect continued growth in Vietnam's cement sector, driven by strong domestic demand and robust export activity, particularly from non-VICEM producers. The data highlight the country's increasing role in regional and global cement and clinker trade.
