Wedoany.com Report-Dec.29, Recently, Furno Materials has entered into a cooperation agreement with ready-mix concrete producer Maschmeyer Concrete to upgrade concrete using Furno Materials' compact, modular cement kiln technology.
According to the agreement, Maschmeyer Concrete plans to operate these small-scale cement kilns using the 90,000 tons of "waste concrete" it generates annually as raw material. To implement this plan, the company will build a small-scale cement plant with an annual capacity of 50,000 tons in Florida. Currently, both parties are intensively conducting site analysis and feasibility studies for the project to ensure its smooth progress.
This latest deal brings Furno Materials' total announced and unannounced project capacity to 295,000 tons per year. However, the deal remains contingent on the successful deployment of Furno Materials' first commercial-scale reactor, which is being developed in partnership with concrete producer Ozinga in Chicago, Illinois. If the initial project proceeds smoothly, it will lay a solid foundation for subsequent cooperation between the two parties and set a new benchmark for the industry.
