India's Goldcrest Cement Plant Completes 109,000 Cubic Meters of Concrete Works
en.Wedoany.com Reported - India's Goldcrest Cement greenfield integrated cement plant, located in Sagrana village, Neemuch district, Madhya Pradesh, has completed approximately 109,000 cubic meters of reinforced concrete works. Over the past 14 months, the project has steadily advanced civil works for the main process buildings and clinker production area, with approximately 3,000 cubic meters of reinforced concrete works remaining in these areas, scheduled for completion by September 15.

Mechanical installation is progressing in parallel. As of the latest project update, cumulative mechanical installation on site has exceeded 18,500 metric tons, with equipment and structural fabrication works approximately 96% complete. The project team plans to complete mechanical installation in the clinker production area by November 2026, with mechanical installation for the cement grinding system and related works scheduled for completion by February 2027.
Goldcrest Cement is planning an integrated production facility with an annual capacity of 4.5 million metric tons of cement. Humboldt Wedag India has been appointed as the engineering, procurement, and construction contractor for the project, with an overall project completion target of March 2027. As the project transitions from the current civil works finishing phase to large-scale mechanical installation and production system construction, cement grinding is scheduled to commence in February 2027.
The total project investment is estimated at approximately INR 24.4 billion. The disclosed financing plan includes approximately INR 10.4 billion in equity funding and INR 14 billion in debt funding. As of December 2024, the project promoters had invested approximately INR 2 billion for preliminary works including land, mining rights, and project management, with bank loan approvals also secured.
In addition to the cement production facilities, the project plans to develop supporting infrastructure including a 25 MW captive power plant, a 15 MW waste heat recovery system, and a dedicated railway siding. Land has been secured, and the project's subsidiary companies have obtained mining rights and environmental clearances for the mines. The project has also signed a 40-year limestone supply agreement, providing for a cumulative supply of approximately 150 million metric tons of limestone from the proposed Lakhpat Punrajpur mine in Gujarat.
Under the current project schedule, the upcoming milestones are as follows: completion of civil works for the main process buildings and clinker area by September 15, completion of major mechanical installation in the clinker area by November, advancement of cement grinding by February 2027, and overall project completion by March 2027.
