Wedoany.com Report-Dec.29, Data from the Argentine Portland Cement Manufacturers Association (AFCP) shows fluctuations in the Argentine cement market in November 2025, with consumption falling 4.7% year-on-year to 829,432 tonnes, representing a 14.3% month-on-month decrease. However, looking at the overall situation from January to November 2025, total cement consumption in Argentina reached 9.262 million tonnes, a 6% increase compared to 8.734 million tonnes in the same period last year, demonstrating a stable trend of demand growth.
On the supply side, imports in November 2025 were only 16 tonnes, significantly lower than the 5,567 tonnes in November 2024 and 559 tonnes in October, indicating that market supply primarily relied on domestic production. Total domestic production for the month decreased 4.2% year-on-year, dropping from 876,775 tonnes to 840,212 tonnes, and fell 13.7% month-on-month, from 973,603 tonnes to 840,212 tonnes. Despite the decline in production, from January to November 2025, Argentine cement producers still manufactured 9.33 million tonnes of cement, a 6.2% increase compared to 8.783 million tonnes in the same period the previous year.
The export market performed strongly in 2025. Exports in November amounted to 10,796 tonnes, a 48.9% increase from 7,251 tonnes in the same month last year, and a significant 86.4% rise compared to 5,791 tonnes in October. In the first eleven months of 2025, exports grew 32.9% to 70,888 tonnes, up from 53,358 tonnes in the corresponding period of 2024.
