Wedoany.com Report on Jan 31st, Rajasthan will receive a 500 MW power supply from the 1000 MW solar project being constructed by SJVN Limited in the Bikaner district. This allocation enables Rajasthan to obtain a stable supply of renewable energy electricity through this solar project to meet part of the local power demand.
The project is located in the Bikaner district of Rajasthan and is being developed and constructed by SJVN Limited. The remaining 500 MW of power from the project has been allocated to Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, respectively. The power allocation scheme for this solar project reflects India's regional coordination planning in the renewable energy sector, promoting the shared utilization of clean energy across multiple regions.
According to the project plan, the development cost of this solar project is approximately ₹54.92 billion. The power tariff is set at ₹2.57 per unit, with a viability gap funding support of ₹4.4 million per megawatt available. The construction of the Bikaner Solar Project will provide Rajasthan with a stable supply of clean electricity while also offering renewable energy support to other participating states in India.
