This fire-resistant coating aims to provide long-lasting fire protection while maintaining aesthetics, making it suitable for various construction projects.
The coating utilizes cellulose-based passive fire protection technology, offering up to two hours of fire resistance and has obtained UL 263 certification. This certification provides assurance to architects, engineers, and building owners that the product meets industry standards. Its low volatile organic compound (VOC) water-based formulation helps support sustainable construction practices and reduces environmental impact.
Key features of PPG STEELGUARD 652 include: providing up to 20 years of long-lasting protection; proven two-hour fire resistance capability; low VOC emissions, suitable for complex construction site scheduling; and ease of on-site application, achieving smooth, even coverage using standard PFP airless spray equipment. These characteristics make it competitive in the fire-resistant coatings market.
