Wedoany.com Report on Feb 12th, Jupiter International Ltd has announced the addition of a new 1 GW monocrystalline PERC solar cell manufacturing facility at its Baddi plant in Himachal Pradesh, India. This increases its total capacity from 959 MW to nearly 2 GW, marking a significant enhancement in its solar cell production capability.
The new facility is being developed by Jupiter Solartech, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jupiter International, and aims to strengthen the company's competitiveness in India's clean energy manufacturing sector.
The company anticipates that this expansion will double the local workforce, creating more skilled jobs in advanced solar manufacturing operations in Himachal Pradesh and boosting regional economic development.
Jupiter International is also progressing with the construction of a 1.25 GW TOPCon solar cell production line at the same site, further expanding its solar cell manufacturing capacity.
