Wedoany.com Report, On March 4, 2026, a PC-12 PRO aircraft with serial number 3010 arrived in Australia, marking the first of five brand-new PC-12 PROs to be delivered by Pilatus to the Central Operations division of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS). As a partner of Pilatus for over 30 years, the RFDS's receipt of this world-first aeromedically configured PC-12 PRO signifies a further deepening of the long-standing collaboration between the two organizations.

These PC-12 PROs will join the RFDS Central Operations fleet, serving remote areas of South Australia and the Northern Territory by providing medical transfer services. The aircraft features a pressurized cabin with over nine cubic meters of space, capable of accommodating patients, crew, and medical equipment. The large cargo door and lift system facilitate the rapid loading of patients.

Tony Vaughan ASM, Chief Executive Officer of RFDS SA/NT, stated: "The PC-12 has proven its reliability in diverse environments, from the south of Australia to the tropical north. It will enhance the reliability of our fleet and strengthen our ability to respond quickly and safely."

Dave Skatchins, Chief Executive Officer of Pilatus Australia, said: "We are proud to support the RFDS fleet with the PC-12 PRO. This aircraft builds upon the proven foundation of the PC-12, offering enhanced performance, advanced avionics, and greater capability to help the RFDS fulfill its mission of 'The Furthest Corner, The Finest Care.'"

André Zimmermann, Vice President of Business Aviation at Pilatus Aircraft Ltd, added: "We support our long-term partner RFDS in expanding its air ambulance fleet. This milestone reflects the strength of our relationship and our shared commitment to providing critical services to Australian communities."

The PC-12 PRO is the latest version of the PC-12 family, equipped with the Garmin 3000 avionics system and the Safe Automatic Landing System, while retaining short and unpaved runway capability and the large cargo door. With over 2,200 PC-12s delivered globally and more than 12 million flight hours accumulated, the PC-12 PRO continues the legacy of reliability, safety, and technology, making it well-suited for aeromedical applications.
