Utilizing non-contact Hall effect technology, it offers displacement measurement capability up to 40 mm, with linearity as low as ±1%, resolution of 12 µm, a service life exceeding 10 million cycles, and a compact package size of 35 mm × 14.5 mm × 28 mm.
Compared to the 10 mm electrical stroke of its predecessor, the 40 LHE linear position sensor extends this to 40 mm. Combined with its high-precision performance, it is suitable for servo loop motion control systems, including applications such as infrastructure integrity monitoring, digital agriculture, online process measurement, industrial automation robots, and medical robots. This linear position sensor can also be used for throttle and pedal position detection in electric vehicles, as well as in railway, marine equipment, and agricultural machinery.
To ensure reliable operation in harsh environments, the 40 LHE features an IP67 sealing rating and can withstand 20 g high-frequency vibration and 50 g shock. Integrated reverse voltage and overvoltage input protection reduce the need for external circuitry, lowering costs. The device supports analog ratio or digital (PWM) output signals for easy integration and is equipped with versatile mounting holes, allowing for horizontal or vertical installation.
As a "true power-on-ready" device, the 40 LHE reports its position immediately upon power-up without requiring recalibration or initialization. It retains functionality even after a power loss, further reducing the need for battery backup. This linear position sensor is RoHS compliant, offers a spring-return option, and can be customized to meet specific requirements. It operates with a supply voltage of 5 VDC ± 10%, is now available, and has a lead time of 12 weeks.
