As of early March 2026, it has cumulatively captured and produced 450,800 tons of liquid CO₂ products, achieving a balance between production and sales as well as phased operational targets. This injects green momentum into the national "dual carbon" goals and provides a practical reference model for the transformation and upgrading of regional industries.

It is reported that Phase I of the Ningxia 3 million t/a CCUS Demonstration Project is a 500,000 t/a CO₂ capture and liquefaction project. The demonstration project captures CO₂ emissions from a 4 million t/a coal indirect liquefaction project, which is then used by Changqing Oilfield for enhanced oil recovery and storage. The project is implemented in three phases following the principle of "unified planning, phased construction." Upon full completion, it will achieve an annual CO₂ emission reduction of 3 million tons.
