en.Wedoany.com Reported - China's Xiangtan Electric Manufacturing Group (XEMC) has independently developed the 120-tonne class XEG120E and 220-tonne class XEG220E large rigid battery-electric mining trucks. As of mid-2025, a cumulative total of 37 units have been deployed and put into market operation. The company has established a wholly-owned sub-brand, "Igreencle," to promote these products.

Currently, the deployment of the XEG120E model is as follows: 10 units are operated by contractor Stroyservis in Russia, 16 units are operated by China Coal Group at the Pingshuo mining area in Shanxi, China, another 6 units are operating at a zinc mine in Yunnan, and 2 units are operated by the Brazilian rental and sales company AIZ Group. Two units of the XEG220E model have been put into operation, located respectively at the China Coal Pingshuo mining area and at an open-pit coal mine of CHN Energy in Inner Mongolia, China.

The XEG220E model is equipped with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery modules, and the battery pack has been upgraded from CATL's G-type to T-type. It is claimed that the G-type battery pack can last 3 to 4 years before its State of Health (SOH) drops to 80%, while the T-type battery pack can last approximately 6 years. The XEG120E trucks have been equipped with 2 or 4 charging interfaces, while the XEG220E currently features only one interface per vehicle, but is equipped with a robotic charging arm.

In terms of performance, the XEG220E can achieve 4 to 5 charges per 24 hours. Initially, each charge took 1 hour, but as the charger power has been increased from 1,560 kW to 1,840 kW, the charging time has been shortened to 45 minutes. The new generation of charging stations has a built-in transformer that converts 6 kV/10 kV voltage to 380 V.
