en.Wedoany.com Reported - On May 14, BYD began rolling out its May 2026 OTA update. This update covers three major areas: intelligent driver assistance, smart cockpit interaction, and smart ecosystem connectivity. It features several industry-first functions and expands vehicle-device connectivity and home integration capabilities, adapting to multiple models across various platforms in batches.

In terms of intelligent driver assistance, this update introduces two industry-first features: "Seamless Parking Activation" and "Smart Parking." Seamless Parking Activation automatically brings up the parking interface after the vehicle enters a parking lot. The user can complete parking simply by selecting a space, with no manual operation required. This function is compatible with corresponding models on the DiPilot A, DiPilot B, and DiPilot C platforms.

Smart Parking can intelligently recognize the user's operational intent, automatically and smoothly parking the vehicle once it is in position. It is currently first deployed on some Denza N9 models. A new external voice broadcast function has been added, providing real-time vehicle status updates; assisted parking now offers three speed modes—Comfort, Standard, and Rapid—to suit different driving habits.

Regarding the smart cockpit experience, Sentry Mode has been upgraded with a new high-risk video cloud upload feature, viewable anytime via the BYD App. It supports one-click video export to local storage or a USB drive, and a Wi-Fi quick transfer function has been enabled for direct video sharing to a mobile phone.

The industry-first Music Wallpaper feature is now online. It can automatically switch images based on weather conditions and dynamically move to the rhythm of the lyrics. It is compatible with some models equipped with the DiLink 150 smart cockpit and requires a QQ Music Super VIP membership to use.

Additionally, new dynamic themes such as YOMeeDoll Penguin, Receiving Horse, and HALUU have been simultaneously launched, covering models across the DiLink 300, DiLink 150, and DiLink 100 platforms.

In terms of smart ecosystem and vehicle services, IoT in-vehicle connectivity now supports six new devices, including a dual-use dual-temperature refrigerator, car air purifier, car vacuum cleaner, lumbar massager, pet safety seat, and Segway-Ninebot electric scooter, all controllable directly from the vehicle's infotainment screen. Vehicle-to-home connectivity now supports Hisense and TCL brands, allowing users to remotely control home air conditioners from inside the car and customize device names and room assignments.

This OTA update also brings several detailed upgrades: the Ant Forest feature is now available in Car Life, allowing daily driving to accumulate energy points that can be collected with one click; the Omnidirectional Drive Recorder function has been extended to DiLink 100 models; the new DiLink cockpit UI has been rolled out to more models; and iQIYI has added an intelligent voice "see-and-say" function, supporting cross-screen video on-demand and sharing.
