en.Wedoany.com Reported - RusHydro (РусГидро) has updated the commissioning timeline for several hydropower plants in the Far East. The launch of the Nizhne-Zeyskaya Hydropower Plant (Нижне-Зейская ГЭС) has been postponed from the originally planned 2032 to 2037. The Primorskaya Pumped Storage Power Plant (Приморская ГАЭС) is scheduled for commissioning in 2034, while the Nizhne-Nimanskaya Hydropower Plant (Нижне-Ниманская ГЭС) is set for 2037. Timur Khazikhametov (Тимур Хазихаметов), the company's Technical Regulation Director, disclosed this schedule during a project presentation.Project presentation slide showing the commissioning timeline for Far East hydropower plants

The Nizhne-Zeyskaya HPP is located on the Zeya River in the Amur Region, downstream of the existing Zeyskaya HPP. It will have an installed capacity of 400 MW and an average annual output of 2.13 billion kWh. The plant will serve flood control functions and enhance regional power supply reliability, with design work expected to be completed in 2026. The Primorskaya Pumped Storage Plant will be built near the mouth of the Razdolnaya River where it flows into Amur Bay in Primorsky Krai, featuring a generating capacity of 600 MW and a pumping capacity of 662 MW. The Nizhne-Nimanskaya HPP will be constructed in Khabarovsk Krai with an installed capacity of 360 MW. All projects have been included in the "General Scheme for Electric Power Facility Siting until 2024." Due to long investment payback periods and construction timelines of 6 to 12 years, project implementation will require government support.
