en.Wedoany.com Reported - ABx Group (ASX:ABX) has been granted a new exploration license by Mineral Resources Tasmania, located near the company's Deep Leads rare earth project in northern Tasmania.

The new exploration license covers an area of 165 km², situated 30 kilometers north of the Deep Leads rare earth resource.

This brings the company's total tenement area with ion-adsorption clay rare earth element mineralization potential to over 800 km².

ABx plans to conduct its next round of exploration activities at the project in August 2026 and intends to integrate artificial intelligence tools to enhance target generation and exploration planning.

Meanwhile, the Deep Leads — Rubble Mound Extension has been announced as one of five projects to share up to $540,000 in funding from Round 12 of the Exploration Drilling Grant Initiative (EDGI).

The EDGI program, organized by the Tasmanian Government, provides grants of up to $100,000 for direct drilling costs.

CEO Mark Cooksey stated that the granting of the exploration license and the securing of drilling funds "demonstrate Tasmania's attractiveness as a mining jurisdiction and ABx's outstanding position in Tasmania."

"These results expand our rare earth exploration footprint in northern Tasmania, reflecting our growing confidence in the broader prospects of the region," Cooksey said.

"The geological model developed through our exploration activities continues to identify new assessment areas, and the EL1/2026 application represents another promising target generated from this work.

"We are excited about the progress in integrating artificial intelligence tools into our exploration strategy."

ABx Group focuses on providing materials for a cleaner future, with priority projects including heavy rare earths, clean fluorochemical production, and near-term bauxite production.
