en.Wedoany.com Reported - Recently, the Guangzhou Plan Approval Center of China Classification Society (CCS) visited Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Huangpu Wenchong) to conduct a "Plan Approval Review" technical exchange on the 25,000 m³ ammonia dual-fuel LPG/ammonia carrier.

As China's first and globally leading 25,000 m³ ammonia dual-fuel LPG/ammonia carrier, this project is a landmark initiative in China's green shipping industry, with the Guangzhou Plan Approval Center responsible for reviewing the design drawings. To ensure a smooth transition from the "design blueprint" to "actual ship construction" and to eliminate risks identified during the plan approval phase in the construction stage, the Guangzhou Plan Approval Center conducted a "Plan Approval Review" activity at the shipyard. This involved systematic review and closed-loop confirmation of risk points identified during the initial drawing review. Additionally, plan approval surveyors, in line with the latest international regulations, focused on core technical challenges such as the ammonia fuel containment system, pressure relief and leakage mitigation, toxic area dispersion analysis, and protection of fuel pipe penetrations through compartments, engaging in exchanges with the Huangpu Wenchong R&D team. This cleared technical obstacles for the subsequent construction phase, ensuring the vessel achieves internationally leading standards in both safety and environmental performance.

Jiang Yonggang, Assistant General Manager of Huangpu Wenchong and Director of the Technology Center; Zou Xiaofeng, Deputy Chief Engineer and Secretary of the Party Committee/Deputy Director of the Technology Center; He Zhen, Deputy Chief Engineer and Director of the Development Department; Huang Lehua, Director of the Guangzhou Plan Approval Center; Huang Dongwei, Deputy Director; along with over 40 cadres and technical personnel from both sides, participated in the event.
