en.Wedoany.com Reported - US chipmaker Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) have expanded their partnership to build, deploy, and manage AI-focused data centers in India using AMD's "Helios" rack-scale architecture.

AMD and TCS collaborate to build AI data centers in India

AMD stated that the platform is expected to improve performance efficiency and reduce deployment time for AI workloads. This collaboration comes as global enterprises shift from AI pilots to production-level deployments, driving demand for high-density computing infrastructure.

As part of the partnership, the two companies will provide an AI-focused data center blueprint supporting capacities of up to 200 megawatts for hyperscalers and enterprise customers.

AMD Chair and CEO Lisa Su noted that AI adoption is accelerating from pilots to large-scale deployments, a shift requiring a new computing infrastructure blueprint.

TCS subsidiary HyperVault AI Data Center Limited will lead the deployment. The company specializes in developing secure and reliable AI-ready infrastructure for hyperscalers, AI enterprises, and global corporations. This collaboration builds on recent efforts by both companies to help enterprises scale AI adoption and modernize hybrid environments. It also positions them to compete directly with Nvidia in India's rapidly expanding AI infrastructure market.

The partnership aligns with India's macro strategy to build indigenous AI capabilities. The government's "IndiaAI Mission" has invested over $1.2 billion (S$1.39 billion) to strengthen the country's national AI computing infrastructure.

In late 2025, TCS also announced collaborations with major tech companies including Microsoft, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google, and Nvidia to develop enterprise-grade AI solutions. Supported by a $1.98 billion (S$2.5 billion) investment from TPG, the initiative focuses on building a 120-megawatt AI data center, with early discussions involving OpenAI as a key anchor customer to develop agentic AI tools.
