en.Wedoany.com Reported - Serpro (Brazilian Federal Data Processing Service) plans to include GPU-as-a-Service in its portfolio, but the state-owned enterprise believes current costs are still high and the market is not yet mature, so it is in no hurry to launch commercial services. Welsinner Brito, Serpro's Director of Enterprise Architecture, Intelligent Platforms, and Cloud Engineering, stated that the company will offer products to deliver AI capabilities, such as assistants; the ConversaAI model (a ChatGPT for public institutions) will accelerate cloud usage and infrastructure. He emphasized that GPU-as-a-Service will also become part of the portfolio, but this requires maturity and a careful assessment of cost-effectiveness.

In an interview on June 11 at the Tech Gov Brazil Forum (hosted by Network Eventos) in Brasília, the executive mentioned that the state-owned IT company has allowed its employees to experiment with artificial intelligence. He noted that the company provides operational tools and data, training models have changed, and experimentation must be allowed, but within the guardrails of governance.

The executive also discussed the era of agentic AI, stating that the current process will involve using AI to solve problems rather than thinking of solutions first. Development teams are changing processes to adopt agentic AI, and other departments, such as human resources, will follow suit. He emphasized that agentic AI has arrived and is here to stay.

When asked whether "Cloud First" has lost its standing amid the "AI First" slogan, the executive said it never has; AI and cloud go hand in hand and complement each other, and only with them can the desired digital sovereignty be achieved.
