en.Wedoany.com Reported - Softsquared is leveraging its AI Managed Service Provider (MSP) business to offer enterprises generative AI operations management solutions, while exploring ways to address social issues such as regional talent drain and job mismatch in South Korea. Company representative Lee Cheon-gong stated that many enterprises face pay-as-you-go costs amounting to tens of millions of Korean won after adopting AI tools like ChatGPT. Just as MegazoneCloud grew into a leading cloud MSP during the early days of cloud computing adoption, Softsquared aims to become the MegazoneCloud of the AI era—analyzing enterprise workflows, recombining and configuring optimal AI models and agents, and managing token costs and performance on their behalf.

Softsquared's core competitiveness lies in its community of 7,000 developers and its agility. Unlike fixed solutions provided by large system integration (SI) firms, Softsquared leverages its developer community to customize AI architecture designs for enterprises and respond quickly. Its core platform, "Geuritji," has also evolved from a remote work team subscription service into a platform that packages and supplies "cloud-based labor combining AI agents with humans."

Lee Cheon-gong believes that the greatest social value of AI technology lies in addressing regional employment issues. He pointed out that the current "regional extinction" crisis in South Korea stems from the concentration of quality jobs in the capital area. Once enterprises deploy AI infrastructure, regionally based talent connected remotely can work from anywhere. Taking Busan as an example, approximately 4,000 tech professionals migrate to the capital area annually. Lee emphasized that providing these regional talents with a "settled remote work" environment, enabling them to work for capital-area companies without leaving their hometowns, is Softsquared's goal.

Regarding capital-area enterprises' security concerns about remote work, Lee suggested a paradigm shift. He noted that enterprises are willing to pay for non-resident AI tools, so when AI agents encounter issues, the dispatch management system built by Softsquared should assume the risks and responsibilities. He also called on the government and local governments to make institutional supplements, such as incorporating job-professionalism-based "micro-work" into the quality job evaluation system, and studying a "regional talent quota system" that mandates remote hiring and outsourcing of regional talent for enterprises that have adopted AI.

On talent demands in the AI era, Lee believes that positions solely executing assigned tasks will decrease by over 50%, while "responsible talent" will survive. He emphasized that AI cannot take responsibility for its own decisions, making humans who bear risks and ultimate accountability indispensable. To this end, talent needs "metacognition," "critical thinking," and "personal conviction." Softsquared cultivates such talent through its own community, "Nerdynerdy," guiding students to discuss with AI tutors to maximize metacognitive abilities.

Lee likened the future labor market to a "return to the Roman era," where production is handled by AI and humans pursue subjectivity. He stated that he will dedicate efforts to building a healthy digital labor market infrastructure for the younger generation in the AI era, helping them coexist with AI and lead sustainable lives.
