en.Wedoany.com Reported - Vietnam's Ambassador to Bulgaria, Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet, stated at the annual international seminar titled "Bulgarian Nuclear Energy – National, Regional, and Global Energy Security," held in Varna from June 10 to 12, that Vietnam seeks to expand cooperation with Bulgaria in the nuclear energy sector, particularly in human resource development, scientific research, and the sharing of operational and management expertise.

The seminar takes place as many countries are adjusting their energy strategies to address energy security issues, climate change, and growing electricity demand.

During the event, Ambassador Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet delivered a speech titled "Vietnam's Nuclear Energy Development: A Strategic Vision for Energy Security and International Cooperation."

She noted that Vietnam is developing a diversified, balanced, and sustainable energy mix, in which nuclear energy is regarded as a key solution to ensure national energy security and support the country's goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

Given Bulgaria's extensive experience in operating the Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant and training nuclear energy experts, the ambassador proposed strengthening bilateral cooperation in expert training, scientific research, operational management, and nuclear safety.

During the seminar, Ambassador Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet also met with leaders of the University of Economics – Varna and the Odessos Shipyard to explore cooperation opportunities in education, training, and high-quality workforce development.
