en.Wedoany.com Reported - Adobe has announced the launch of Firefly Graph for Creative Cloud customers, a node-based workflow solution designed to leverage generative artificial intelligence for large-scale content creation.

Adobe Firefly Graph

Firefly Graph allows users to connect multiple tools within a visual workflow. Each "node" performs a specific task and passes its output to the next node. Adobe states that this gives creative professionals greater control over generated results and makes it easier to experiment with different approaches by replacing, adjusting, or adding components.

For example, a user can start with a text prompt box connected to a node that generates images using Adobe or third-party AI models from companies like Google or OpenAI. Later in the workflow, users can add nodes to remove backgrounds or upscale images, ultimately producing images, videos, or other usable assets. Changing any element—such as adding a reference image or modifying the text prompt—will alter the final output.

This node-based workflow approach is similar to tools like ComfyUI, a startup valued at $500 million that claims over 4 million users. Other comparable tools include Weavy, which was reportedly acquired by Figma for $200 million last year.

Elliot Sedegah, Senior Product Marketing Manager at Adobe, noted that with the multitude of AI tools available to creatives, workflows can become complex and difficult to replicate. Firefly Graph offers over 300 node types, covering image and video editing and AI generation features from Adobe's product portfolio and third-party tools.

"Whether you work at a small business or a large enterprise, you want consistency and to integrate it into your workflow so you don't have to switch between different tools," Sedegah said. "Combining all the elements is time-consuming, and sometimes it's even hard to document the steps." Once created, the workflow can be shared as a repeatable process across the organization for use by other teams or individuals.

Sedegah pointed out that while high-quality assets require creative professionals to create, reusable workflows can be handed over to broader teams to generate content for large audiences. Lisa Gately, Principal Analyst at Forrester, said Firefly Graph addresses a challenge faced by most large creative organizations—that the best creative workflows "exist only in the minds of a few experts." "Teams can generate images and videos with AI, but reproducing the exact sequence of creative decisions, model selections, edits, and optimizations that led to high-quality results is both difficult and unreliable. Firefly Graph turns these workflows into reusable assets," Gately said.

While other node-based workflow tools also aim to solve similar problems, Adobe's advantage lies in Firefly Graph's integration with its product suite. "Firefly is a complete and broader AI creative studio, not just a node-based tool, so (Firefly Graph) is part of a larger picture," Sedegah said. "Its strength is bringing everything together in a tool users are already familiar with." Gately believes that "Adobe's differentiator is enterprise integration," with Firefly Graph connecting to Creative Cloud applications, Firefly Boards for ideation, and other Adobe tools like Firefly Creative Production. "The workflow becomes part of a broader content supply chain, rather than an isolated creation tool," she said. "Organizations committed to other tools are unlikely to migrate just because of a node-based canvas—making a change is about the broader content supply chain."

Project Firefly is now available to Adobe Creative Cloud for Enterprise subscribers (pricing details have not yet been announced) and as a public beta for individual users.
