en.Wedoany.com Reported - At Discover 2026, HPE unveiled its "Actionable AI Blueprint," with a core architecture comprising three layers: autonomous networking, agentic infrastructure, and intelligent hybrid operations, all under the GreenLake platform and driven by a single Marvis AI engine.

HPE Discover 2026

During an analyst briefing on the eve of Discover 2026, Rami Rahim, Executive Vice President of HPE's Networking division, and Fidelma Russo, General Manager of Hybrid Cloud, outlined this strategic framework. Rahim noted that AI is shifting from "answering" to "acting," but many projects risk failure due to a lack of proper infrastructure and operational models. HPE's solution aims to provide secure, adaptive connectivity, sovereign-compliant compute and data, and supporting consulting and financial services.

On autonomous networking, Rahim attended Discover for the first time as an HPE employee. Four concrete outcomes reflect the progress of the Juniper integration: HPE Juniper Networking switches enter the AI Factory portfolio, managed via HPE Networking Data Center Director; the new QFX5140 switch, based on Broadcom's Trident5 chip, is designed for edge inference clusters, supports speeds from 25G to 800G, and is now shipping; Marvis Actions will land on HPE Aruba Central by the end of this year, extending proactive remediation capabilities to its installed base; and a new SASE orchestrator, unifying SD-WAN and SSE management, will launch later this year.

In terms of platform strategy, HPE took a different stance from Cisco and Extreme. Rahim made it clear that Mist and Aruba Central will not converge into a single platform. Their deployment models differ: Mist is designed for cloud environments, while Central supports on-premises, VPC, and private cloud. What is unified is the single AIOps engine Marvis, one data science team, and gradually cross-pollinating applications. Rahim believes that with only one engine and one team innovating, conflicts between agents are architecturally impossible. HPE's agent extensibility resides in the higher layers of Morpheus and GreenLake Intelligence.

In the agentic infrastructure section, Russo introduced two versions of the AI Factory portfolio: an NVIDIA reference architecture design, including confidential computing and country-specific compliance; and a new validated design integrating Juniper QFX switching. The Private Cloud AI appliance scales to 256 GPUs and is ready to support NVIDIA's Vera platform. Data Fabric 8.2 adds integration points for agentic workloads, enabling agents to access data across clouds and third-party storage. Zerto has been repositioned as a protective tool against malicious agents, capable of rolling back environments to a known good agent state.

The intelligent hybrid operations section focused on the VMware migration market. Morpheus VM Essentials claims over 2,000 customers and more than 1 million installed cores, with socket-based pricing reducing costs by up to 90%. Morpheus 9 adds features such as Morpheus Central on GreenLake and software-defined networking based on Juniper technology. On the business strategy front, HPE launched a platform migration program offering the first year of VM Essentials licenses free, Zerto migration licenses free during the transition, and zero-interest financing. GreenLake Intelligence integrates the Morpheus orchestration copilot and the OpsRamp operations copilot.

Compared to Extreme Connect and Cisco Live this spring, all three vendors are selling agentic AI operations, but with clear differentiation. HPE is the only company selling the entire underlying technology stack—from switching to GPUs to storage to hypervisors—and the only one leveraging migration economics to counter Broadcom rather than attacking competitors.

For the managed connectivity channel, three items are worth noting: real-world testing of Marvis Actions on Aruba Central; the double-edged sword effect of the never-converge platform positioning on the channel; and the Morpheus migration program as a template for networking to emulate. HPE's presentation architecture is complete, covering networking, compute, storage, data, virtualization, and operations, with the Marvis engine threading through the network layer and Zerto guarding against agent risks. The industry has fully adopted an agentic strategy, with differentiation lying in stack breadth, platform philosophy, and business aggressiveness.
