en.Wedoany.com Reported - Enterprise cloud and AI computing demand in Central Asia is shifting from "reliance on external resources" to "local secure hosting." Beeline Kazakhstan, a telecommunications operator, is building a Tier III data center in Almaty through its Hyper Cloud Solution subsidiary. The project is scheduled to be operational in the first quarter of 2027, and upon completion, it will support sovereign cloud, AI computing, enterprise cloud services, and local data storage needs.Turar Ospanov

Located near Almaty, the data center has a designed capacity of approximately 2 megawatts and is built to Tier III standards, aiming to enhance business continuity through redundant power, cooling, and critical infrastructure configurations. Once completed, Hyper Cloud will be able to provide full redundancy capabilities on its own infrastructure, offering enterprise customers more stable data processing, cloud platforms, and AI computing services.

The Hyper Cloud data center is positioned not as a simple expansion of an ordinary server room, but as an infrastructure node for Kazakhstan's digital sovereignty and enterprise-level cloud services. The platform will support capabilities such as IaaS, PaaS, BaaS, GPU-as-a-Service, Security-as-a-Service, backup, and DDoS protection, providing local deployment options for small and medium-sized enterprises, startups, financial institutions, and digital transformation clients.

Localized data storage is a key value of the project. As government, financial, and enterprise clients increasingly demand data security, compliance, and cross-border transmission controls, businesses are more inclined to retain critical operations and customer data within Kazakhstan. By building its own data center, Beeline can reduce reliance on external cloud resources and third-party server rooms, enhancing the security, controllability, and response speed of cloud service delivery.

AI computing power is also a core focus of the project. With the development of large models, data analytics, enterprise automation, and industry digital services, the local market in Kazakhstan is seeing growing demand for GPU computing, cloud hosts, databases, containers, and highly reliable storage. The new data center will provide local computing power for AI, big data, blockchain, and next-generation communication services, enabling enterprises to complete data training, inference, and business deployment domestically.

Beeline has previously developed cloud services through Hyper Cloud, but existing data center capabilities are insufficient to support larger-scale expansion. After the new Tier III data center is built, Hyper Cloud can form a more complete cloud platform capability on its own infrastructure, improve service stability, and lay the foundation for future enterprise customer growth, regional digital service spillover, and cross-industry applications.

For Kazakhstan, this project also holds significance as a regional digital hub. The number of local IT enterprises continues to grow, and demand for cloud services, AI applications, fintech, and enterprise digitalization is accelerating. If local high-grade data center capabilities continue to improve, Kazakhstan will be better positioned to host regional enterprise cloud, AI infrastructure, and digital service demands, enhancing its infrastructure capacity in Central Asia's digital economy.

Key subsequent milestones for the project will focus on civil engineering and electromechanical system construction, Tier III certification, GPU computing deployment, cloud service migration, customer onboarding, and service redundancy capability validation. If it successfully launches in the first quarter of 2027, Beeline Kazakhstan will gain stronger autonomous delivery capabilities in the local enterprise cloud and AI infrastructure market.
