en.Wedoany.com Reported - In June 2026, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of Liebherr's Nenzing plant, Liebherr officially launched the new LMD 1200 dragline excavator, now available for sale globally. This model is specifically developed for dragline operations in both dry and wet mining conditions, allowing convenient relocation within the mine site. Equipped with a robust steel structure, it ensures operational flexibility and overall machine reliability even under extreme working conditions and high-load environments.

The LMD 1200 has a maximum lifting capacity of 30 tons and an operating radius of 40 meters, fully meeting the mining requirements of large-scale projects. The equipment can be fitted with a dragline bucket with a maximum capacity of 12.25 cubic meters, achieving a maximum digging depth of 25 meters. Liebherr's dual hydraulic motors automatically adjust the winch speed based on the required digging force, ensuring uniform and efficient bucket loading. Combined with a high-power slewing mechanism, this effectively shortens the single operating cycle, significantly enhancing overall production efficiency.

Most core components of the equipment are developed and manufactured in-house by Liebherr, ensuring ample spare parts supply. The LMD 1200 features a dedicated mobility solution, allowing it to self-drive and relocate within the mine site after lowering the boom. The total operating weight of the machine is 360 tons, and the complete assembly and disassembly process can be completed in just one week. The equipment comes with a 1,000-liter main fuel tank and an additional 8,270-liter auxiliary tank, enabling continuous operation for a week without refueling.

The cab is spacious and features noise-reducing structures, allowing operators to clearly observe all working areas. The machine is equipped with multiple cameras, providing 360° unobstructed safety monitoring. Liebherr application engineers can provide global customers with full machine operation training, helping clients maximize mining efficiency on site.
