Darma Henwa in Indonesia Adds 10 Liebherr Mining Machines

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 9, Liebherr Indonesia announced that it delivered 10 mining machines to Indonesian mining service provider Darma Henwa in less than 12 months, including 4 R 9200 mining hydraulic excavators and 6 PR 776 mining crawler dozers, 3 of which are Generation 8 models. The equipment has been put into operation at the Bengalon and Kintap coal mines in Kalimantan.

Darma Henwa currently provides comprehensive mining services at the Bengalon and Kintap mining areas. Bengalon is located in East Kalimantan, where Darma Henwa recently expanded its operations to new pits; Kintap is located in South Kalimantan, where local production targets have been raised accordingly. The new equipment was allocated to the two mines to supplement loading and dozing capacity.

The delivery of the 4 R 9200 excavators was concentrated between the third quarter of 2025 and the second quarter of 2026, with the last unit delivered to the Bengalon mining area in April this year. After completing this round of equipment delivery, the number of Liebherr machines in service at the Bengalon mining area increased to 17, and at the Kintap mining area to 4.

The R 9200 is a 200-tonne-class mining hydraulic excavator, mainly used for loading operations in large open-pit mines; the PR 776 is a large mining crawler dozer. Darma Henwa stated that the R 9200 machines are currently involved in the execution of the 2026 production plan at the Bengalon mining area.

This equipment expansion was handled by Liebherr Indonesia, which is responsible for delivery and subsequent technical support, covering equipment commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance services. Darma Henwa has formed a Liebherr mining equipment combination consisting of excavators and dozers at the Bengalon and Kintap mining areas.
