Magna AI is a global value chain-integrated sovereign AI transformation company, established through a collaboration between Trend Micro and Wistron Digital Technology Holding Company (WDH), with support from Nvidia. EEC is a Saudi company specializing in data center construction, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), system integration, and infrastructure services.

New partnership supports sovereign AI in Saudi Arabia

As Saudi Arabia continues its national digital transformation, the demand for trusted AI infrastructure is becoming a core element of the country's long-term competitiveness. For nations and organizations, AI sovereignty means keeping data, models, and the value they generate under local control, rather than relying on platforms in other regions. Sovereign AI data centers and AI factories will help organizations train, fine-tune, deploy, and operate advanced AI models while maintaining control over data, workloads, governance, and compliance.

Under the agreement, Magna AI will lead AI factory architecture, platform development, and AI security and governance efforts. EEC will provide engineering and construction support, including EPC execution, data center construction, civil, mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage system integration, on-site project management, facility support, and regulatory coordination. EEC stated that its capabilities are backed by ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certifications, as well as a professional team based in Saudi Arabia.

The two companies are jointly committed to deploying secure, scalable, and locally compliant AI infrastructure for government entities, regulated industries, enterprises, startups, and academic institutions. The collaboration will cover the entire process from the earliest stages of infrastructure development to long-term operations, including site selection, feasibility studies and business case development, AI data center system integration, energy, cooling, and sustainability optimization, as well as secure and compliant operations meeting Saudi data residency and cybersecurity requirements.
