en.Wedoany.com Reported - Velosio has expanded its service capabilities within the Microsoft ecosystem through the acquisitions of Kopis and Acuitas, covering Azure, Dynamics 365, and AI. As one of the largest Microsoft partners in the United States, the company has been a member of the Microsoft Inner Circle for 30 consecutive years, ranking among the top 1% of partners globally. The core of these acquisitions revolves around Microsoft Dynamics assets, aiming to enhance proximity to customers who require cloud services after purchasing licenses, including Azure migration, application modernization, Power Platform automation, and Business Central deployment.

Velosio acquires Kopis and Acuitas to drive Microsoft AI growth in the US

Velosio acquired the commercial non-government assets of Kopis, deepening its service capabilities in Azure, custom software development, cloud-native applications, business intelligence, Power Platform, and Dynamics 365 Business Central. Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Greenville, South Carolina, Kopis has been building Microsoft systems for clients in manufacturing, healthcare, government, and professional services for 25 years. This acquisition focuses on Microsoft delivery capabilities and customer relationships, avoiding the complexities of government business. Velosio is held by Court Square Capital Partners, and this represents a service consolidation around the Microsoft technology stack.

Acuitas brings over two decades of experience in the Microsoft Dynamics community, covering Dynamics 365 Business Central, Dynamics 365 CRM, as well as older ERP platforms such as Dynamics GP, NAV, and SL, along with Power BI, Power Platform, Microsoft 365, and Azure. A significant portion of Microsoft's business applications customer base runs legacy Dynamics systems due to high migration costs. These customers require report fixes, integration maintenance, and cloud migration paths. Velosio now has a larger foundation to facilitate migration to Business Central, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Microsoft AI services.

Many mid-sized companies lack clean data, modern processes, or AI-ready teams, with clear operational constraints. Microsoft is integrating AI with its business products. Velosio CEO Robbie Morrison stated that the acquisitions respond to customer demand for larger scale and a broader single partner. Acuitas Managing Director Veronica Gasaway emphasized the continuity of trusted services, while Kopis CEO Andrew Kurtz spoke about maintaining quality while gaining resources. These assurances aim to address concerns that customers might face ticket queues after boutique firms are absorbed.

The Microsoft ecosystem is a solid area for aggregating service revenue, with a deep installed base, incomplete cloud migration, and AI adding consulting demand. The best-case scenario involves broader skills and faster project staffing; the worst-case involves slow decision-making and cultural friction. Kopis provides more Azure and custom software strength, while Acuitas brings Dynamics depth and a customer base. Velosio has chosen breadth, giving Microsoft a larger partner to drive its cloud and AI agenda into the mid-market.
