The inauguration ceremony was attended by Safran Global CEO Olivier Andriès, French Ambassador to Mexico Delphine Borione, Safran Mexico CEO Alejandro Cardona Seemann, and Safran Chihuahua Executive Vice President Gabriel Morales, among other representatives.

Safran's Electrical & Power division employs 5,300 people in Chihuahua, concentrating strategic aerospace manufacturing operations. It produces 95% of the electrical wiring for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner and houses Safran's largest global aerospace wiring manufacturing center. The new plant reinforces Chihuahua's status as an aerospace platform in Mexico, with the state contributing 36% of the country's total aerospace output. Safran's expansion increases production capacity and specialized employment opportunities while maintaining industrial operational continuity with international aviation projects.

The new plant will operate with 100% green energy and is equipped with an electric climate control system, part of Safran's strategy to reduce its carbon footprint by integrating energy efficiency standards into the company's production expansion in Mexico. Through this new facility, Safran deepens its industrial footprint in Chihuahua and expands its production base, which already exceeds 10,500 jobs, while strengthening Mexico's participation in high-value aerospace manufacturing, focusing on specialized production of aircraft electrical systems and wiring.
