en.Wedoany.com Reported - French automotive brand Alpine and fashion brand Lacoste have integrated a 3D-printed seat lattice structure by ERPRO into a one-off custom racing car. Named "Beware of the Crocodile – Alpine Lacoste A290 Rallye," the vehicle was unveiled alongside a capsule clothing collection that merges motorsport with sportsmanship.

The structural components inside the cockpit feature a red anodized finish, consistent with the seat color scheme and the overall collaboration design.
Alpine and Lacoste state that the lattice-type components are designed to achieve lightweight construction, comfort, and performance simultaneously. The seat is installed in the Alpine A290 Rallye, a performance-focused version of the A290 hot hatch, developed for customer rally racing. The two companies say the 3D-printed parts are part of the vehicle's weight reduction measures, as every kilogram affects handling in top-tier rally competitions.

This custom model is at the core of a broader collaboration between Alpine and Lacoste. The partnership also includes a capsule collection featuring polo shirts, T-shirts, and technical accessories, as well as a short film titled "The Test," starring Lacoste brand ambassador and actor Pierre Niney alongside Alpine Formula 1 driver Pierre Gasly. Lacoste's iconic petit piqué fabric is applied to details such as the seats and door panels.
Lacoste CEO Eric Vallat stated that the two companies share a culture of innovation, both driven by pioneers since their inception, believing that performance stems from the combination of originality and attention to detail. By bringing together heritage, expertise, and creative standards, they conceived this project to celebrate French ingenuity through a shared vision of performance and elegance.

Alpine Vice President of Design Antony Villain added that the Alpine Lacoste A290 Rallye embodies the intersection of two French brands passionate about sport, precision, and audacity. This collaboration merges the technicality of competition, the lightness of design, and the elegance of timeless style, resulting in a car built for the track with a true aesthetic signature.
